Tips to make existing Gmail address more readable

If you are that kind of person whose Gmail address is difficult to read at first attempt then i am sure these simple tips is going to help you up to a big extent.

Also this post will help you to create filters for the unwanted mails that are delivered to your Gmail account.I found this tips very useful as Google has flexibility in logging for different services under Google Accounts. 

Make your Gmail address more readable

Because Gmail ignores periods(.) in its username or address so the existing Gmail username can be reformatted into different email accounts by adding multiple dots.

For example, if your Gmail primary email address is billgates@gmail.com then you could reformat it as

• bill.gates@gmail.com 
• b.i.l.l.gates@gmail.com 
• b.i.l.l.g.a.t.e.s@gmail.com 
• billgate.s @gmail.com .

All emails delivered to above Gmail addresses with be delivered to your primary email address that is billgates@gmail.com.

So if you have a Gmail adddress that your friends finds difficult to read or remember this is an aid to them.

Adding a definite number of periods(.) can be helpful.

Create filters in Gmail  using plus(+) sign.

Ok now let me tell you how this works.Suppose your Gmail address is billgates@gmail.com and if you want to automatically label all work e-mails. Then Add a plus sign and a phrase to make it billgates+work@gmail.com and set up a filter to label it "work" (go to Settings->Filters and create a filter for messages addressed to email address billgates+work@gmail.com then add the label "work").

The email address under different phrases can be labled and filtered by following the same steps as followed for the label "work".

This is very useful if you are subscribing to a website to get free EBook and don't want to take risk because the website may flood you with a number of advertising emails.

You adding a phrase "subsc" after Gmail address ( billgates+subsc@gmail.com ) and creating a filter for mail delivered to the above email address will be very useful to get prevent out of the heavy advertising mails.

Google celebrates Indian Indepandence Day with Google Doogle

Google Celebrates 65th  Indian independence day with India's national bird, the peacock.Peacock adorns the Google home page on India's Independence Day. The peacock curves its neck backwards to form the 'G' of the Google logo. The other letters of the Google logo appear in ornate styling behind the peacock's plume.

Previous year Google celebrated this day with a sketch of Delhi's Red Fort took guard on the Google home page on 15th August.

Independence Day is one of the three national holidays in India other than the Republic Day on 26 January and Mohandas Gandhi's birthday (International Non-Violence Day) on 2 October and is observed in all Indian states and union territories.

Google Changes Favicon to blue

It has been three years since Google changed their favicon to the multi colored icon we have today.Now google has changed their fevicon to new blue icon.

The new blue icon is same in design with the old multicolored favicon but seems more innovative than its old logo.
