Microsoft fan and tech savvy will have to wait till October 28 as the company finally plans to launch the upcoming Windows 8 operating system on October 26.The launch date of the company’s upcoming operating system was revealed by Steven Sinofsky president of the Windows division at Microsoft.This is the first time Microsoft has announced a date for the arrival of its next Windows OS.
Windows 8 is its next-generation ,touch friendly operating system tailored for a world shifting from personal computers to smartphones and tablets.Windows 8 will be available in 109 languages across 231 markets worldwide.
As an upgrade for users of Windows XP, Vista or 7, Windows will cost $40. That's much less than Microsoft Corp. has charged for previous operating system upgrades. People who bought a Windows 7 computer on June 2 or later can upgrade for $15.
